CHANGING YOUR DEFAULT FONT:
Whether you use WordPerfect or MS Word, to change the font for an entire document you need to reformat the document's default font. Otherwise the old font will resurface when you perform tasks such as creating headers and footers, inserting footnotes, and setting up pleading paper.

WORDPERFECT


To change the default font for a WordPerfect (version 8 or 9) document:
1. Choose File4Document4Default font.
The Document Default Font dialog box opens.
2. Specify the desired font.
3. (Optional) Choose Settings4Set face and point size as default for all documents to set this as the default font for future documents created by this copy of WordPerfect.
4. Choose OK.
The default font is updated.


MS WORD
To change the default font for a Word (version 97 or 2000) document:
1. Choose Format4Style.
The Style dialog box opens.
2. Select Normal in the Styles list box.
3. Choose Modify4Format4Font.
4. Specify the desired font.
5. Choose OK.
6. (Optional) Check the Add to template check box to set this as the default font for future documents based on the current Word template.
7. Choose OK4Close.
The Normal style (upon which all formatting is based) is updated.
