WORD AND WORDPERFECT TIP: PASTE UNFORMATTED

Q. I pasted text into a document and it looks funny and won't line up. How can I fix it?
A. When you copy text between different word processors, such as Word and WordPerfect, you may end end up with a formatting nightmare on your hands. Likewise if you copy text from an internet web page or someone else's document.

At best you may get strange formatting that is difficult to decipher and fix. At worst, the document may freeze and crash your computer.
Use the paste unformatted command to avoid these problems.

To paste text without formatting:
Copy the text as you normally would, then (in Word or WordPerfect) position your insertion point where you want to paste the text. Choose Edit4 Paste Special4Unformatted. The text leaves behind it original formatting and takes on the formatting onto which it is pasted.
